There are 4 meters in the game, each representing one aspect of your leadership. You will die if one becomes empty or full.
The 4 meters of the game
Environment[]
The environment icon is represented by a plant and is usually affected by the Gardener, Research Officer Torres and the Minister of Health Gibson, and General Ramsey.
If the meter runs out, radiation levels will go very high, resulting in an ecological collapse and you will die. This effect can be stopped by the Fallout Shelter effect. If the icon reaches it's maximum, the Minister of Health will take the credit and accuse you of hindering her. You will be removed from office and you will die from a mysterious illness.
The environment meter can fully collapse regardless of whether the meter is high or not; when you give permission to General Ramsey to test biological weapons, the test conducted will result in a failure and causes a terrible epidemic that spreads throughout the nation and you are among the first to die.
People[]
This meter is represented by a person, and is the happiness of the people. It is affected by many different characters.
If the meter runs out, the people will get angry and will start to revolt. You will be hanged unless you have the Religious Buildings, Task Force, or Lover effect. If the meter is full, you'll be considered the greatest president the country ever had, but you'll die to an unknown disease.
Army[]
This meter is represented by a gun and shows the power of the military. Governor Armstrong and General Ramsey will usually come to you asking questions about the military, and affecting it based on your choices.
If the meter runs out, the country can no longer defend itself; the government will fall under the enemy's hands, and you will be executed along with what remains of your army. This can be stopped by the Secret Army effect. If the icon is full, the General uses his power to stage a coup, and you are imprisoned and die.
Money[]
This meter is represented by a dollar sign and shows your current financial status.
If the meter runs out, you can no longer pay off your debts, and your head is sold off. This can be prevented by having the Emergency Fund effect. If the icon is full, banks hold all the power, and dismiss you of your command, you and your closest staff will be sent to a radioactive area and die.
